About Sukanta Nag
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania resident Sukanta Nag is a visionary senior-level technology executive with over 20 years of technology management and leadership experience, including leading complex technology and innovation initiatives in human resource services across the globe. He has dedicated his professional career to developing solutions that fueled the growth of his employers and their multinational clients. He offers vision, direction, and strategy to foster a culture of innovation, commercialize creative energy, and transform digital experience. Throughout his career, he demonstrated thought leadership across the global technology, HCM, and workforce ecosystem – benefiting a diversity of internal and external stakeholders.
Most recently, he was the Chief Technology & Information Officer at OneTen Coalition. He established and executed the technology vision, product strategy, product development roadmap, and central technology function, facilitating transformative ecosystem-wide workforce development solutions to meaningfully change the lives of millions of under-employed Black talent within ten years. Under his leadership, OneTen launched “Career Marketplace” – a smart technology platform that identifies skills and experience and provides access to training and upskilling, career support, and navigation services. Career Marketplace connects candidates to family-sustaining career opportunities with OneTen coalition partners.
Before this, he was the Chief Information Officer of Corporate Human Resources at Prudential Financial. He spearheaded the implementation and rolling of a new HR digital employee experience ecosystem powered by Workday Human Capital Management Solution to a global workforce. Before joining Prudential in 2016, he led the Xerox Innovation Organization for Human Capital Services Capability group. He managed a balanced innovation portfolio, developed and executed a robust high-impact innovation strategy and roadmap, and aligned them with the Human Capital Services strategic business priorities. His diverse professional background includes global operations, innovation, IT consulting, process management, technology solutions development, digital transformation, and adoption.
He founded Atithi Studios, a creative maker’s space comprised of artist co-working studios and a gallery exhibit hall in Pittsburgh in 2021. Atithi’s mission is to build a happier community through engagement with the arts. He created simultaneous economic opportunities for artists and their local communities through this innovative and social entrepreneurial initiative. The space offers a welcoming environment for artists to thrive and for the community to unite, share, and be inspired. He applies insights gained from 20+ years as a corporate leader through Atithi to support creatives looking to accelerate their practice through mentorship and opportunities to leverage business development strategies to add capabilities, create community connections, increase brand awareness, and amplify their impact.
Sukanta Nag is an immigrant who entered the US as an international undergrad student at Slippery Rock University and made Pittsburgh, PA, his home. He continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh, graduating with an Executive MBA. He enjoys traveling and getting to know local people and cultures. He is an avid reader and a food and wine enthusiast. His diverse interests and hobbies contribute to his well-rounded perspective and ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
